Piety

Hadrat Jaabir Radiallahu Anhu says that one person mentioned his effort in worshipping and obeying Allah Ta'ala  in front of Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam.  Another person spoke of piety. Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam  said, “You cannot equate the effort of worship and obedience to piety (piety is a great thing.)

There are great blessings in Ibaadat when accompanied with Taqwa. There is a lack of blessings when one is habitual of committing sins even though one worships Allah Ta'ala excessively. Therefore Hadrat Thanvi R.A. mentioned that to discard a single sin is superior to hundreds of thousands of Tahajjud prayers. Allah Ta'ala mentions in the Quraan, “My friends are only those that have Taqwa.”

A person can never become Sahib-e-Nisbat by being in the habit of committing sins or by being persistent on sins, as friendship with Allah Ta'ala and transgression (committing sins) are opposites. Therefore, in order to be the friend of Allah Ta'ala it is necessary for one to acquire Taqwa together with Imaan which is generally acquired by the blessings of remaining in the company of the Muttaqeen.

This is the only one way of meeting Him

Create a connection with those that meet Him

Not by Kitaabs, nor by lectures, nor with gold is Deen created.

Deen is created with the glances of the Buzurgs.
