The Khanqah is run under the auspices of Hazrat Maulana Abdul Hamid Is'haq Sahib Daamat Barakaatuhum. The Khanqah was established in 1994. The Khanqah is located on 1 Azaad Avenue, Azaadville, Gauteng, South Africa, which is the location of Darul Uloom Azaadville as well. Azaadville is a little suburb which is located on the West of Johannesburg

Alhamdulillah Majaalis are held weekly on Laylatul Arba'aa', Tuesday evening at the Khanqah after Maghrib Salaah during the summer months and after Esha Salaah during the winter months. Majaalis are held on a Laylatus Sabt, Friday evening, Laylatul Ahad, Saturday evening and Yaumul Ahad, Sunday morning at the beginning of every Islamic month. The Laylatus Sabt, Friday evening programme is conducted by Hazrat Maulana at Masjid-e-Taqwa which is located in Homestead Park (Mayfair), 23 Ashely Road. The Laylatul Ahad, Saturday and Yaumal Ahad, Sunday programmes are also conducted by Hadrat Maulana at the Darul Uloom in Azaadville. Brothers are encouraged to spend time in the Khanqah, the weekend when the monthly Majaalis are held. Refer to our Majlis events section for dates and times of programme schedules. Separate ladies facilities are also arranged for these programmes.

Programmes are also held throughout the blessed month of Ramdaan. The first programme is held after Fajr Salaah for approximately 30 min. The second slot commences from 11.00 am till Zuhr Salaah and ends with a short programme after Zuhr Salaah. The third programme is between the Asr and Maghrib Salaah. The final programme is after Taraweeh Salaah which is approximately 30-40 minutes.

Alhamdulillah, many local and foreign brothers spend the entire month of Ramdaan at the Khanqah, whilst others spend time according to their convenience. Brothers are requested to bring their own bedding. All meals are provided. The Khanqah also offers a laundry service weekly. Parking facilities for cars are also available. Brothers that are arriving by air or by bus can also be picked up if arrangements are made prior to arrival. 

Brothers may also spend time during the course of the year at the Khanqah. However, brothers intending to do so should inform us so that the necessary arrangements can be made.
