Disinclination from the world

Hadrat Abu Zarr R.A. narrates that Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam reports, Any servant that adopts Zuhd (abstinence) in the world (i.e. he turns away from the luxuries and comforts of the world), Allah Ta’ala creates wisdom in his heart, grants him the ability to speak (with wisdom), shows him the faults and sicknesses of the world with its remedies, and takes him out from the world free from all problems and enters him into Darul Salaam (i.e. Jannat). Commentary:- Keeping this Hadith in front, the Buzurgs and Mashaaikh have stated that Zuhd (abstinence) is the first step in the path of Allah Ta’ala. When Allah Ta’ala wants to draw someone close to him, He disinclines him from the temporary world. If the instability, disloyalty and temporary life of the Dunya is understood, that even great kings were wrapped in a few metres of cloth and placed in their graves, then the heart will not incline to the world. Due to such disinclination from the world, Allah Ta’ala will protect such a servant from all trials and enter him into Jannat.
