Rights of Quraan

1.   IMAAN-BIL-QURAAN - To believe every single verse of Quraan, especially when it concerns Hijab, Islamic punishments, inheritance etc.

2.   AL HUBBU WAL ADHMATU LIL QURAAN - To have immense love and respect for the Quraan and for those who have memorized the Quraan. To honour the Quraan, by placing nothing on top of it, not stretching one's feet to it, keeping it high, etc.

3.   TAJWEEDUL QURAAN - To learn to recite the Quraan correctly, with all the laws of Tajweed.  If one has forgotten, a few days effort under a tutor will easily put one back on track.

4.   TILAAWATUL QURAAN - To recite the Quraan.  For reading, lip movement is essential. Mere mind reading will not suffice.

5.   AMAL-BIL-QURAAN – To act upon the injunctions of Quraan. To practice upon the teachings of Quraan, lest it becomes a proof against us on The Day of Qiyamah.

6.   TA’LEEMUL QURAAN – To teach the Quraan according to one’s capacity. Either personally or by aiding those involved in its teaching.

7.   TABLIGHUL QURAAN – To propagate the Quraan and its message to those unaware, Muslim and non-Muslim.
