Rajab & Sha’baan – The Gateway to Ramadhaan
Submitted by Shaheen Kola on
The virtue of the month of Rajab above the other months is like the virtues of the Quraan Sharief over the other divine scriptures.
The virtue of the month of Sha’baan above the other months is like Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam’s virtues over the other Ambiyaa Alaihis Salaam.
When we will make Ibaadat in this month we will attain these five bounties:
The word Sha’baan compromises of the following letters:-
ﺵ Sheen - Sharaafat (nobility)
Ain - Ulumartabat (high stage) ﻉ
ﺏ Baa - Bir (goodness-piety)
ا Alif - Ulfat (love for Allah)
ﻥ Noon - Nur (light)
The month of Sha’baan has the decisions of sustenance. This comprises of our everyday affairs, our spouse, children, health, honour, wealth, clothes, house, etc.
On this night the decision is made and handed over to the Malaaikah. This is on Laylatul Qadr (the night of Power or on the 15th of Sha’baan).
Our beloved Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said,
“On this night decisions of life and death are made, so I desire that I be with Roza when decisions are made in my favour.”
The virtues of the month of Ramadhaan over the other months is like the virtues of Allah Rabul Izzat over His creation.
