Hajj drives away poverty

عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، رَفَعَهُ : مَا أَمْعَرَ حَاجٌ قَطُّ ، قِيلَ لِجَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ : مَا الْإِمْعَارُ ؟ قَالَ : مَا افْتَقَر .
(رواه الطبراني في الأوسط والبزار)
Jaabier (Radiyallahu anhu) reports that Rasulullaah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "A Haajiy never becomes poor and destitute."
By way of further elucidation,in another Hadith, Rasulullaah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Performing Hajj and Umrah many times drives away poverty." In another Hadeeth it is stated that: "Continuous Hajj and Umrah prevents a Muslim from leaving this life with a bad ending, and keeps away poverty."
In one Hadieth it is mentioned: "Perform Hajj and become rich, travel and become healthy."
In other words change of air, places and weather, often bring about better health. This has been experienced time and again. (Fazaaile Hajj)
Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas’ood (Radiyallahu anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, “Perform hajj and umrah together because they remove poverty and sins just as a furnace
removes impurities from iron, gold and silver.” (Bukhari)
