ENTERING MUSJID

بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ، وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي وَافْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ
In the name of Allâh and salam upon the Rasul of Allâh. O Allâh, forgive my sins and open for me the doors of Your mercy. (Ibn Majah)
أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ، وَبِوَجْهِهِ الْكَرِيمِ، وَسُلْطَانِهِ الْقَدِيمِ، مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
I seek protection from the Mighty Allâh, His Honourable Countenance and His everlasting power from the accursed Shaytan. (Abu Dawud)
السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ
Salam upon us and upon all the righteous servants of Allâh. (Hâkim)
Note: Enter the masjid with the right foot. Make intention for i’tikâf.
DUÂ IN PLACE OF TAHIYYATUL MASJID.
Some jurists have written that one should recite the third kalimah four times if one enters the masjid at makruh times.
WHEN REACHING THE SAFF
اللَّهُمَّ آتِنِي أَفْضَلَ مَا تُؤْتِي عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ
O Allâh, grant me the best of what You grant Your pious servants.
