عن ابي برزة الاسلمي قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم لا تزول قدما عبد يوم القيامة حتى يسئل عن عمره فيم أفناه وعن علمه فيم فعل وعن ماله من أين اكتسبه وفيم أنفقه وعن جسمه فيم أبلا قال هذا حديث حسن صحيح
Hadrat Ibn Masood h narrates that Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam is reported to have said, “The feet of a person will not move on the day of Qiyaamah unless he is questioned in regards to five things.” He will be asked, “How did you spend your life? How did you spend your youth? From where did you earn your wealth and where did you spend it? The knowledge that you had acquired, did you act according to it?”
It is recorded in a narration of Abu Daud Sharif where he said, “O Uwaimir, what will be your condition when it will be said on the day of Qiyaamah, were you an Alim (a knowledgeable person) or an ignorant person?” If you say that you were an Alim, it will be said, “What actions did you carry out, and if you say that you were an ignorant person then it will be said, why didn’t you acquire knowledge?”
