Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah (Radiyallahu anhu) relates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, "Come near the mimbar," so we came close. When He climbed the first step of the mimbar, He said 'Amin.' When He climbed the second step, He said 'Amin.' When He climbed the third step, He said 'Amin.'
When Nabi ﷺ came down, the Sahabaah asked: "O Rasulullah, today we have heard from you something which we had never heard before."
Nabi ﷺ explained:
First Curse: "When I climbed the first step, Jibril (Alayhis salaam) appeared before me and said, 'Destruction to the person who found the blessed month of Ramadan and let it pass by without gaining forgiveness,' then, I said 'Amin.'"
Second Curse: "When I climbed the second step, he said, 'Destruction to the person before whom your name is taken and he does not send durood [salutations] on you.' I replied 'Amin.'
Third Curse: "When I climbed the third step, he said, 'Destruction unto him in whose lifetime his parents or either one of them reaches old age, and (through failure to serve them) he is not allowed to enter Jannah.' I said 'Aameen.'"
